Wanping Sewing Equipment Industrial park, with
a total planned area of 520 mu, is a sewing
machine and its parts’ indusrtial park with
standard sewing machine companies as its leading
industry. There are 6 sewing machine companies
and 80 sewing machine parts enterprises in the
park. The sewing machines are branded as Standard
Brand, Waping Brand, Baojia Brand, Wangong Brand,
Aishi Brand and Baijia Brand, with an annual
production of 300 thousand all kinds of sewing
machines such as industrial sewing machines
of medium and thick material, whose output accounts
for 40% of that of the same kind in the state.
The parts enterprises develop a specialized
production way with different classification,
and more than 80% of the enterprises produce
over 3000 kinds of different part for famous
companies at home and abroad.
1) General introduction
Wanping is the most important town for sewing
equipment production. There are 146 factories
specialized in the production of sewing machines
and its spare parts, among which there are
11 factories, including 3 foreign funded enterprises,
that are doing complete machine production
with an annual output of 500,000 sets. Their
products include high speed plain edge machine
for fabrics of mid or high thickness, high
speed over-edging
machine,
automatic plain edge machine, flat seam machine,
computer embroidery machine, zigzag sewing
machine etc. The output of the sewing machine
for fabrics of mid or high thickness accounts
for 40% of the total domestic market share
of the products in the same category. There
are over 3,000 types of sewing machine spare
parts produced in the town, which has a complete
range of production capabilities varying from
casting, precision casting, forging and pressing
to precision hardware processing. The annual
sales of the spare parts amount to 300 million
RMB. The products of complete machine and
its spare parts have been exported to a lot
of countries and areas in the world, namely
the USA, Japan, Turkey and Taiwan. The annual
exports amount to 10 million US dollars.

6 sq.km, providing 4 sq.m of standard factory
workshops to let. At present, there are 93
enterprises that have established themselves
